Matt and his family moved to Nolensville in July, 2010 to partner with a small group of visionaries and plant Southpointe Community Church. He previously served on the staff of Perimeter Church in Atlanta as a preaching pastor and lead their ministry to singles and families in the 22-40 age range. Before that he was on the staff of First Presbyterian Church in Augusta, Ga. as the pastor to Single Adults.
Matt and his wife Chrissy have three daughters: Madeline, Mary-Alex, and Anabelle. When Matt isn’t pastoring he enjoys working out, reading about 20th century military history, shooting guns, and driving cars.

Jeff and his wife Beth came to Southpointe Community Church in May 2017.
They met while attending the University of Kansas. After college they served for two years with The Navigators at Illinois State University. After their short term with the Navigators they moved to Saint Louis, MO to attend Covenant Theological Seminary and to pursue a Master in Divinity. While attending Covenant, Jeff directed the National Leadership Foundation campus ministry at Saint Louis University.
Jeff has served churches in Kansas, Illinois, and Tennesse for the the past 15 years in areas of discipleship, assimilation, pastoral counseing and ministry development. They have two children: Nathan and Libby.
As Executive Pastor at Southpointe, Jeff gives administrative leadership to execution of Southpointe’s vision.
Jeff also serves as a Certified Christian Conciliator and a Tennessee Supreme Court Listed Family Meditator.

Derek grew up in Rockville, MD, near Washington D.C. and started the move South and West to go to college at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. After college he moved to Nashville to work in the music industry, working the majority of his time with INO Records. He left there to open a studio which he still manages called FlyByWest Music doing a variety of production related work for labels and publishers in town. He and his wife Brooke have two kids: their boisterous daughter Riley and her full out younger brother Paxton. Derek loves worship music and has a passion to see a community that knows what it means to worship God in freedom that is grounded in the Truth of the gospel. He has learned first hand that this life is a team sport and that community is essential to the gospel working itself out in our lives. Derek is grateful to be a part of what God is doing here at Southpointe.

Darrell began at Southpointe in Jan 2014, A Native born Virginian, Darrell received a B.A. in History from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN and his Mdiv from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. When not teaching or hanging out with the students of SPCC, Darrell enjoys lifting weights, meat, sweet tea, fishing, baseball and Professional Wrestling.

Katie Lown and her husband Jay have been married for 16 years and moved to Nolensville in 2012. They have three awesome kids, Olivia, Robert, and Thomas. Finding a place like Southpointe Community Church has been a tremendous blessing in their lives. It is such a gift to be a part of a community of believers that makes Jesus Christ the unavoidable issue . Katie is a native to Brentwood, Tennessee and received her BS in Psychology from Samford University and her MA in Higher Education from Boston College. God called Katie into the role of a children’s leader in the Bible Study Fellowship class. Through BSF, God stirred in Katie’s heart a desire to be intentional about teaching and training the next generation to know and love Jesus Christ. Katie loves seeing children engage with the Bible and begin to learn Biblical truth. Katie feels truly honored to serve her church family as the Director of SPKids.
