OUR MISSION:
Mission 58 exists to provide opportunities to make the invisible kingdom of God visible to the community we serve outside the walls of Southpointe.  We believe when we step outside our comfort zones we make ourselves smaller and God bigger.  Our mission is to join God where He is at work by providing a platform that brings focus and support to those already serving, as well as bringing new opportunies to serve the community in which we serve, and the the poor and vulnerable in this area.

OUR VISION:
We, as believers are called to love God, and love our neighbor.  There are no greater commandments than these (Mark 12:30-31).  By providing these opportunies for people to step outside the the walls of the church, we are providing opportiunites for our community to “go and be,” not just “come and see”.  In the process, we make God bigger and ourselves smaller, and hopefully we allow the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts and minds closer to the heart of God.

OUR KEY VERSE:
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,v
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness[a] will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.”
– Isaiah 58:6-10
