IGNITE

Volunteer to help serve Southpointe and our community.

We are glad that you want to serve.  We don’t believe that a church is designed to be made up of religious consumers.  Rather, a church is a place where we can give our lives away for a greater purpose – a story bigger than ourselves.  That’s why we serve.  At Southpointe, we don’t want to just fill holes or gaps in ministries, rather we want you to consider who God has made you to be and where your God-given talents and gifts are best utilized. Our philosophy is rooted in scripture which tells us that everyone in the body of Christ has a role to play no matter how small or how big. (1 Corinthians 12:12-20)

We use the word Ignite (which means to “cause to start fire”) because we believe that is what happens in us and through us when we live out our calling to serve others.  We desire for you to discover the calling that God himself has placed upon your life and believe that one of the greatest ways to experience his love is to devote yourself to a ministry that He has put in your path.

There are three ways to get started in serving at Southpointe:

1. Click here to help us plug you into the right ministry – a member of the Ignite team will contact you within two days.  We also can walk you through a spiritual gifts test and help direct you to a specific ministry.

2. We finished our latest Spiritual Gifts class but another one is coming soon.  In the meantime, if you would like to take the spiritual gifts test or meet with a staff member reagrding serving at the church, please see number 1 above and fill out the form.

3. Reach out to our ministry leaders and see what needs they have.  Some current opportunities are listed below.
