2018/2019 PDO STAFF
Our teachers are committed to sharing in the heart of this ministry to love and care for our children and their families. As our program grows, additional teachers may be hired or moved into different classrooms to accommodate changing needs. Parents will be kept up to date on all changes.
We recognize the importance of qualified teachers. All of our teachers will meet the following qualifications: a degree in education or minimum of two years related experience, a criminal background check, two references on file, and First Aid and CPR training.
Hadley is married with two children. She is originally from Kentucky (Go Big Blue!), but has lived in Tennessee for 17 years and a proud resident of Nolensville since 2013.
Hadley has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. Prior to having children, Hadley worked ten years as a healthcare social worker. She also enjoyed working as a preschool teacher and assistant director at a Christian preschool in Franklin, TN prior to joining the SPKids Parent’s Day Out team.
Hadley is an active member of Franklin Christian Church and serves in the children’s ministry area. She enjoys reading, eating out, traveling and watching movies.

Jenny has a M.A. in Teaching and taught fourth grade for six years in Chesterfield, Virginia, before staying at home with her two boys (6and 4). Originally from East Tennessee, Jenny was excited for the opportunity to move back to her home state in 2015, when her family moved to Nolensville. She is a volunteer with SPKIDS, teaching in the Kindergarten classroom on Sundays.
Jenny previously taught in the Bears classroom and is excited to begin her third year as part of the PDO team. She is looking forward to getting to know all of the families this year and watching the children grow and learn!
Tuesday/Thursday Meerkats Teacher
Kelly is married with two girls. She is originally from Florida but has lived in TN for 18 years. Kelly and her family live in Nolensville and have a sweet Yorkie mix named Bentley. She has a passion for childhood education and has worked in childcare since she was a teenager. She has raised two girls of her own and enjoys watching them in competitive cheerleading and soccer. Kelly joined our team in 2017 and can’t wait to have fun with your kiddos this year!
Monday-Thursday Kangaroos Teacher
Yvette, her husband and four children moved to the Nolensville area from Michigan in 2015. In addition to homeschooling three of her children for most of their academic careers and teaching art classes at their co-ops, Yvette has served for over 20 years as a Sunday school teacher – most recently in the Meerkat room at Southpointe. She has been a PDO teacher for two years and taught in the Kangaroo classroom last year. Yvette looks forward to meeting her new students and showing the love of the Lord to the little ones in her class.
Monday/Wednesday Wallabies & Tuesday/Thursday Elephants Teacher
Dawn is from Texarkana, TX. She has been teaching and tutoring since 2003. Her passion is to teach children how to read so later in life they will read to learn.
After completing her Bachelors of General Studies with emphasis in Psychology from Texas A&M – Texarkana she returned to college to complete her Pre-Kindergarten through Fourth grade certification from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
She has been married to her husband Jesse since 1997. They moved to middle TN in 2004. Dawn and Jesse have a cat named Sophie. She is their “feisty feline child”. Dawn is a social introvert and she loves walks in the park. She is looking forward to her second year as part of the SPKIDS Parent’s Day Out Program!
Monday-Thursday Monkeys Teacher
Briana is married with two little boys, ages 3 and 6. She grew up in Kalamazoo, MI (yes, there really is a Kalamazoo!). She and her husband moved to Nashville in 2007 and eventually to Nolensville in 2015.
Briana has a Bachelor’s degree in Art with a minor in Psychology from Taylor University. After a little inter decorating and work in an art gallery and frame shop, she realized her heart was really in teaching. So, she went on to get a Master’s in Teaching with a focus on Special Education from Belmont. She taught elementary students for two and a half years in Metro Nashville Schools, until her first son was born.
Briana has been an active member of Southpointe since 2013 and has been serving in the children’s ministry, with the consignment sale, and on the MOPS leadership team. She enjoys art, crafting, antiquing, eating out, watching movies and plays, and anything having to do with nature.
Monday/Wednesday Bears Teacher
Donna is a mother of four boys, ages 11, 16, 18 and 21. She has a BS in Recreation and Leisure Studies and has been the founder and co-director of another local Mother’s Day out program since 2001. Donna has also been a Recreation Specialist at a Parks and Rec. in Texas, a 2 year-old teacher, substitute teacher in Rutherford County Elementary schools, worked at after school programs, has been a cub scout den leader for 13 years, and teaches pre-school bible studies.
Donna loves the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and exploring new God made places. She believes that children should learn by doing…getting their hands dirty, splashing in puddles, climbing trees and exploring the natural wonders of this beautiful world. She is excited to teach the Bears class and have the opportunity to prepare them for Kindergarten. This is Donna’s third year teaching at PDO.
Monday/Wednesday Wallabies Teacher
Jamie is a Nashville native but has lived in Williamson County most of her life. She and her husband have two daughters, a senior in high school and a senior in college. She homeschooled both girls throughout most of their elementary and middle school years.
Prior to joining the PDO team this fall, Jamie was a professional photographer for over fifteen years. Continuing her interest in education, she then worked for Williamson County Schools in both special and general education as a paraprofessional and a tutor. Jamie has a passion for reading and writing and believes early intervention is foundational for development. She holds a B.S. in psychology and hopes to begin work on a master’s degree in the near future.
Southpointe has been home since 2014, and Jamie volunteers with Stephen Ministries. Her favorite activities are travelling west to wide open skies, reading, time with family, and indulging in the occasional Nutella milkshake. She looks forward to meeting new little friends and all that God has planned for the PDO program!
Monday-Thursday Meerkats Teacher
Faith joined the PDO team last school year with two years of experience as a teacher at another local preschool. She has an evident love for the Lord and passion for teaching one and two-year olds. Faith and her husband have two dogs and love spending time outside with family and friends. The oldest of 11 children, all adopted, Faith has a twin sister named Grace.
Tuesday/Thursday Monkeys Teacher
Brigid is a Nashville native and a mother of 3. She lives in Nolensville with her husband Matt and children Audrey (11), Brady (9), and Ellie (6). Brigid is a 2005 graduate of MTSU and earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. This is Brigid’s third year working with Southpointe PDO. Brigid loves working out at BeatboxFit, travelling, spending time outdoors, hanging out with neighbors, and going on dates with her hubby when he’s not busy being a police officer!
Tuesday/Thursday Bears Teacher
Laura is married and has three children (6,3, and 1). She was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Nolensville three years ago to be near her two older brothers and family.
Laura has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and a master’s degree as a Reading Specialist. She has taught in Chicago Public Schools for 10 years.
This is Laura’s second year working at Southpointe’s PDO. She loves working with the children and getting to know all the families!

Jenna is a native Texan and relocated to Nolensville with her family in Fall 2017. She is a proud mother of three Mill Creek Elementary Chargers and wife to an enthusiastic, passionate chef! Originally from Dallas, Texas, Jenna attended University of North Texas, studying Applied Gerontology (yep, that’s the big word for “Study of the Elderly”). Jenna has been active in her church, serving with the children’s ministry and VBS. Jenna is excited to join the PDO program and family this year! Outside of school, you’ll find her juggling kids, sports, and activities! #livingthatmomlife Your precious children are a gift, and she’s really excited to love and teach them, but also to encourage and love preschool moms!

Becky is a retired elementary school librarian who has worked in both public and college libraries as well. Her BS degree is from UNA with a History major and minor in Library Science. She received her master’s degree in Library Media from Alabama A & M University.
Becky is an extremely proud mother of two wonderful sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law and Sophie, her sweet little Maltipoo whom she fondly calls, “baby girl.” What she is most proud of, and loves beyond measure, are her two beautiful granddaughters, who bring pure love and joy to her heart!
Her experience with children started when she began babysitting at age twelve, continuing into her college years as well. Becky will tell you her whole life has been about working with children and will tell anyone, “I love your children like my own.”
