The sins you cannot forget, God cannot remember.
For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more.

Heb. 8.:12

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge you as the God who delights to give good gifts to his children, yet we confess that we often treat you as irrelevant to our lives.
Instead of seeking you in prayer, we try to control our world through sweat and planning.
Instead of coming to you with the open hand of surrender, we cling tightly to our preferences and our priorities, convinced that we are more qualified to plan our lives than you.
Forgive us for doubting your power.
Forgive us for doubting your heart.
Forgive us for trying to bend your will to fit us, instead of bowing our knees towards your Lordship.
Help us to know the joy of glad surrender to your will and your ways.
We pray in the name of Jesus,
